    About the role

    FundsLibrary (a subsidiary of Hargreaves Lansdown) are looking for an Automation Test Analyst to join their growing FinTech business. The company has been established for over 10 years and is now investing to move further into the FinTech space.

    We are a well established financial services company providing services to asset managers, fund supermarkets, adviser platforms and life companies. Our clients include Prudential, Aviva, Cofunds, Fidelity, Royal London, and Old Mutual in addition to Hargreaves Lansdown.

    We believe in using the right technology for the job at hand and are always keen to research and incorporate new technologies when they allow us to deliver business value faster.

    As an Automation Test Analyst you will be responsible for helping to train other members of the Test team in Automation, have a direct influence on which technologies are used and a say in influencing the future direction of the product set as a key member of the Scrum team.

    Key duties and responsibilities:

    • Identifying, designing, reviewing, amending and executing test cases for a project
    • Work with Test Manager to define the appropriate testing approach for a project and contribute towards/write project test plans defining exit criteria
    • Design and write automated test scripts using C# Design and write UI functional test scripts using C# Selenium Webdriver
    • Work closely with your scrum team to ensure a high level of test coverage
    • Reporting of defects clearly and concisely and managing these through to resolution with relevant stakeholders
    • Documenting results of testing undertaken
    • Support the Test Manager in guiding and mentoring Junior Test Analysts, as required
    • Promote good testing practices throughout the development process
    • Adhere to deadlines, prioritise work and provide progress reports
    • Participate in daily project team stand-up meetings
    • Participate in the post-project review process
    • Escalate key test issues to the Test Manager and Project team as required

    Key objectives of the role:

    • Develop testing knowledge and continue to learn about automated testing processes
    • Provide feedback on how existing automated frameworks can be improved
    • Ensure projects worked upon have sufficient test plans and test coverage and are documented accordingly

    Requirements

    Key skills and experience:

    • Strong C# and an understanding of frameworks/design patterns (Page Object Model)
    • Selenium Webdriver
    • Performance testing experience using JMeter or similar
    • API testing using Fiddler or a similar tool
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with the ability to present outputs in a clear and unambiguous manner
    • Highly organised and methodical
    • An enquiring mind with strong analytical skills
    • Ability to work well in a team or autonomously, building productive working relationships
    • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload in an efficient and timely manner, working to strict deadlines
    • Ability to work and perform in a high pressurised environment and when facing uncertainty
    • Flexible and adaptable when dealing with changing requirements, priorities or circumstances

    Although we are primarily a Microsoft shop with the classic IIS, ASP.Net, SQL Server stack, we believe in using the right technology for the job at hand and are always keen to research and incorporate new technologies when they allow us to deliver business value faster.

    As a Senior .Net Developer you will have a direct influence on the technologies used and a say in influencing the future direction of the product set as a key member of the Scrum team.

    Requirements

    Essential Skills and Attributes:
